UV cured ink - inkmall

UV cured inks are specially formulated inks that remain in a liquid state until they are exposed to strong UV light to cure. UV cured ink for industrial inkjet printers offers a high-quality colour diversity unmatched by most other inks. UV light crosslinks the uv cured ink components into a tough polymer. This reaction is very fast - almost instantaneous. UV cured ink contains no solvents and does not depend on absorption into the substrate for drying.

Ultraviolet curing (UV curing)

Ultraviolet curing (UV curing) is a green technology that uses a photomechanical process to dry the ink immediately after printing. This means you can print on almost any type of non-absorbent material, including glass, wood, metal, vinyl and more. With UV cured inks, the ink is not absorbed by the material, so there is no smudging and no need for additional expensive coatings.

Advantages of uv cured ink

uv cured ink offers unique advantages for printing on a wide range of substrates. Our signature Ultra UV inks offer instant curing, high print quality, adhesion, scratch resistance, lightfastness, colour density, no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and more.

Common uv cured ink applications

Due to their versatility when used with inkjet printing systems, UV-curable inks are commonly used to print on a wide range of flexible and rigid substrates.
