In the application of inkjet printing, the high-quality print output is the goal that everyone has been pursuing. How to improve the fineness of inkjet printing has become the focus of many friends. Wall Paper UV Ink Manufacturer will talk to you about the principle of inkjet color development. And ways to improve printing precision.

The inkjet technology presents colors in a similar way to paints. They are all mixed with Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow colorants to form images, which is the so-called subtractive color method.
Unlike painting, inkjet technology cannot mix inks and then draw on paper. Instead, it uses many small solid-color ink dots to make people look like full-color images. If you use a high-power magnifying glass to observe the image output by the inkjet, you can see that the ink of each color forms dots on the paper. This kind of imaging principle is very similar to printing. It is called halftone image, that is, the ink only presents a single color and uses different ink dot sizes and distribution frequencies to form a full-color image.
1. Reduce the size of ink dots and increase the number of ink dots per unit area
From the perspective of the development of inkjet print heads, everyone will find that the print head itself is developing according to this trend. The core parameters of the print head that we often pay attention to are the minimum picoliter size of the ink dot and the level of resolution is directly related to the fineness of printing.
2. Add light-colored ink of the same color
Earlier we mentioned that because ink dots can only present a single color, in order to express colors with lower density, the number of ink dots must be reduced to leave blank areas, which of course will result in a decline in image quality. Therefore, another way to improve the fineness of printing is to add light-colored inks of the same color. This makes it possible to use light ink with more ink dots instead of thick ink when low-density output is required. This way, it can avoid the original low-density ink. Ink dots cause a loss of resolution and fineness.
3. Match and combine spot color scheme
As mentioned above, in order to express full color, different sizes and numbers of ink dots must be mixed. For example, magenta and yellow can form red and orange. However, the chroma presented by the subtractive color mixing of the three primary colors is not as bright as the direct use of the color ink, so inkjet applications have begun to add complementary color inks. The current common complementary color ink configuration is Red / Green / Blue or Orange / Green / Violet. This is what we often call spot color inks.
